I just got a copy of my TV segment trying to break the Guinness World Record for Fire Breathing in Beijing, China in December last year:

I ever catch fire a little bit ...

Yeah all sorts of junk effects the height. For the fuel type, the density, flashpoint and viscosity all make a difference, as well as the temperature it is when you put it in your mouth (cold fuel takes longer to reach flash point and so might not burn). And you've got air temperature, density, humidity and a bunch of other junk. So yeah ... I've done better than that before, but it just doesn't seem to work out so well on filming days so far.
