[Madam Hooch is on hand to over see tryouts as they begin, behind her are four small groups of other players in uniforms ranging from scarlet and gold, to green and silver. The older professor with her spiky silver hair raises a hand to call for attention from the group of newcomers who have shown interest and promise over the course of last months
quidditch lessons.]
If I can have your attention students, I have an important announcement to make before we begin today's tryouts. Due to the overwhelming number of you who expressed interest and showed promise at excelling in this wonderful wizarding sport. The Headmaster and I have come to a decision, out of those of you here and to not disrupt the current make up of the existing house teams, we will be creating roughly three brand new quidditch teams that will be made up of a mixture of players from each and every house hold.
[Madam Hooch quickly blows her whistle to call for silence before any of the students before her can say anything. It is clear that the decision has already been made and there would be no arguing.]
Now then. These extra teams will be pitted against one another and the original four house teams throughout the remainder of the school year. When one of these teams wins, the total winning score will be divided evenly and split among the winners to help your house towards it's goal of winning the house cup. For example, if team one wins a match against team 3, with a score of 300 to 250. Then each house will be awarded an extra 75 points.
Teams will be picked and announced shortly after the third day of try outs. Practices from then will need to be scheduled with me, after each team decides on a captain.
[Blowing into her whistle again, Madam Hooch motions to the pitch behind her.]
Now split into groups. Seekers with me, keepers are to head for the north goal, beaters and chasers are to remain here in the center of the pitch, and do try not to fall off your brooms. It wouldn't be good for anyone to get injured on the first day!
MOD NOTE: Please reply beneath the the appropriate position area, you are free to use the NPCs (Madam Hooch, Ginny Weasley, Dean Thomas, Slytherin beaters 1 & 2, and the Hufflepuff/Ravenclaw Keepers) as much or little as you want. The 3 day try out section is more of a mingling post for players to play players openly. If you really want some more strict interaction leave a note for us mods and we'll be more than glad to help you out.)
