Two very simple rules to determine whether a cut is advisable for reasons other than TMI:

1) If it takes up more than half a page in your browser, cut it until it's less.

2) If there's more than one picture, put them behind a cut. It's ok to leave one as a teaser, as long as Rule 1 isn't violated.
