The only thing I can think of is that a) I use latex gloves to make sure I don't have any sharp edges on my fingers. b) I always take it slow and easy.

Some horses just LOVE it and they will drop their penis as soon as you walk by with the cleaning bucket. Others would really rather you didn't, and you have to shove your hand WAY up into the body and hope you don't get kicked.

The insides get all sorts of dirty and if left alone - can become problematic.

So - I guess as soon as I start he likes my touch. :-)
