Oh here we go again.....

William decided to slice his foot once again. He most likely managed to kick himself while he was getting up from a nap. So, no stitches - 5 days of stall rest, daily bandage change, 30 minutes of hand grazing and a regiment of anti-biotics and pain relievers (SMZ's and Banamine for those who want to know).

And now for the photo )

william, injury

This is what I'm hoping too. He's managed to do this once a year thus far. Last year it was a clean slice that needed to be stapled on the inside of the same leg. And the year before that, he nipped a segment from his heel bulb on, yep - you guessed it...the SAME leg.

My co-workers say that he's most likely grabbing all the time, it's just that once a year - he causes damage. So he'll need to be in bell boots 24/7.

Hey, don't I remember something about him ditching boots before? It's a bummer to have to keep boots on him 24/7, but if he habitually lays down to sleep and can't get up without hurting himself, I guess it's for the best, hmm?

Yep - I had put bell boots on him before to help the newly healed wound from last year, and yes - he lost one. He's a fan of his naps, and he gets up with gusto - so..there we go.

I'm hoping this new pair of boots will stay on him.

*fingers crossed*
