Just watched The Aristocats with my brother (or most of it, I missed the ending), and OMG IT IS SO GOOD. And weird to watch now, because I saw it so many times as a child that I've got it pretty much memorised but on the other hand there are so many little things I TOTALLY didn't understand, like Uncle Waldo being basted in white wine and the geese

(I grew up being told my dad was Thomas O'Malley. I only realised recently that this was not because of the shared name of Tom but because my mother was married and with kids when her and dad started flinging. Oh my. But I love that film)

I love that movie so much. Wonderful music and a catchy story. Though, yeah, racial stereotyping like whoah. (I headdesked pretty badly at the YouTube comments that vehemently claimed that the Siamese cat wasn't an Asian stereotype: "How COULD he be, he's a CAT?" WTF, stupid people.)
