I cannot say for sure, but I do recall the day you announced you would be taking the kids in. I stand by what I said then. I reckon you are just a lovely lady who cares, and when it comes to kids, sometimes that can really hurt, particularly when they are not your own. Speaking as a former step kid that is :)

It's difficult entering this situation, you feel like the odd one out a lot. But then there are days where you honestly wonder how they functioned without you, because they all have their heads up their asses and you seem to be the only one who can pull 'em out. I wonder some days how I'm going to get through this...

It's hard to be #2 all the time, I'm just being selfish. I can deal with it the majority of the time, but there are days...

Things are... ok. There are various frustrations with school and my love life but all in all, I'm doing fine. I miss you though and I hope that things get better for you hon. With time maybe you'll (Read: Ash) be able to find a better balance between those things that must be priorities. I think he's still figuring out how much you mean to him.

I've missed you too. I hope things get sorted for you too, and I think you're right, he's sorting things out. I know moving in with me was a huge step, and he was nervous about it (he admits it now). I know I mean a lot to him, but he's not used to this. I'm trying to be patient. I love him to death.
