Soliciting memory / motherboard assistance

Hoping someone on my list might have a recommendation as to my motherboard / memory prob. I've got an older machine whose life I'm trying to extend by adding memory

do you have to change any jumpers to get the mobo to cope with the faster memory?

I saw this tantalizing mention in a thread:

I couldn't make it work either. It seems I can't get to anything on the abit-usa.com domain.

Voltages might well be my answer. Gonna have to investigate further.

Clearing CMOS resolved the issue. New lesson learned.
