Don't know why I'm updating, whether because I feel I should update this every now and again, perhaps because I am seeking to elicit a certain type of response, maybe because I'm just bored. Or any other possible reason ( Read more... )

Alright. I won't say much. I'm not going to be as elaborate as anyone else who has already posted. All I'm going to say is: I really hope that I wasn't contagious. And if I was, I apologize profusely. And, as a general reference for the future, stop making me want to cry ( ... )

Tom, the thing about being atheist is that you can't help but question everything (I'd know, I'm one too). You've got no God dishing out rules about what is right and what is wrong. And do you want to know what I think? I think that those who can choose the right thing with no reward in mind are the strongest. If you don't believe in a Heaven to go to, yet you do the right thing, that makes you one of the best people I know. It's easy to look around one day and suddenly feel like you've never touched anyone, or feel like you never existed - leading to more naughty thoughts.

So here's the stupid answer you didn't ask for: Pretend. Pretend? Yes...when you fake anything long enough, it becomes very real. So go with friends. Date. Do something silly. Your heart won't be in it, and you'll see yourself from a cold, external PoV, but that doesn't matter.

It helps, you know.

You know I'm online and love you. So write whenever you wish...or write when you don't wish to until you do want to. ;)

So I was at the grocery near the university last night. Because of their proximity to the university, this grocery has more international items. And I found Irish Oatmeal. Which made me think of you. So I bought it and had it for breakfast this morning. It tasted like . . . oatmeal. The directions said to make it with water, but I thought I remembered you saying it was better made with milk, so I made it with milk. Which was quite lovely. I suspect, though, that American oatmeal made with milk would be similarly lovely. I'll have to go make some later and test out this hypothesis.
