3-1. Awesome, man. Especially when it was 0-1 not only at half time, but at 3/4 time AND at the 83minute! three goals in LESS THAN TEN MINUTES. *bows to Cahill*

Meh. The thing I object to, really, is that if it's law in Tasmania what's so wrong about it being law here? It doesn't make sense that they'd veto it here when it's legal there - the difference being, naturally, that the federal government has more power in territories than in states.

Yet another reason to despise the government. Problem is the alternative's shithouse.

*votes Greens, dammit*

I object to the law against it, but mainly its the power they have over us. I mean, I've not been paying much attention, but it's not like there's been riots or anything even close to that because of it, so it's not that he's going with what the people think or anything.
I mean, how does he justify to himself overturing that and, you know, not important things?

*rolls eyes* because apparently it's too close to allowing 'marriage' between gay couples and marriage as defined in the Marriage Act is a union between a man and a woman. Basically he's pandering to the religious right, because a conservative is always a conservative and goodness gracious me, if we allow marriage between gay people WHATEVER COULD BE NEXT.
The ACT government's purpose was to allow gay couples the same rights under the law as married couples, not to allow them 'marriage' as such. Unfortunately the government took umbrage.
They don't have to justify it. They've got a majority in both houses and the next election isn't till late next year, by which time most people will have forgotten.

the government sucks. Fucking hell. ARGH.

dude, i know this is way off topic, but fucking hell. My sis is meant to be going to Italy in just over a month, right? She doesn't have a lot of money - she is barely able to afford the ticket - but that was alright because she was going to be earning around $300 a week for the next four weeks, and seeing as she doesnt have to pay for food or accomodation over there, it was going to be fine. Her fucking stupid boss, however, has just decided that the place she works needs a full timer - which he sent over from another store - and has since cut her hours down to four a fucking week. Without notice. And he is legally allowed to do that under the stupid new IR laws. Stupid fucking prick.
*fumes some more* *kills something*
