Both the hostels that I have stayed at in Kaikoura and here in Nelson have had pools, hot tubs, and saunas.  After my inability to submerge myself in water over the last year, I have quite justifiably been spending almost every evening in these hostels enjoying the ability to do so once more

the contact thing has happened to me before. Also, last time I went to Disneyland (7 years ago or so) I lost one contact mid-ride on Space Mountain. I seriously thought I had messed up my vision somehow! Anyways, good job packing spares-- I'm paranoid about losing contacts now. :o)
