Ok - I am now moving into my new house. It still is a work in progress, but I start work again tomorrow, and it's just easier to go to work from that part of town than it is from far SE, even if the place is still in the midst of being cleaned and repaired (and we haven't even started to repaint pretty much the entire interior yet

Well, there won't be a housewarming party until after it's done being cleaned and painted (well, at least not until the main floor is cleaned and painted - I might do it before I get to the attic and basement). But if you want to come visit before that happens, give me a call and we can try to work something around my work schedule and yours.

It's great. I've been living here a month now, but the move is far from over. I moved over the things I use most, but I'm leaving the rest over at my parents until I get the place painted and move the rest of my furniture over.

My roommate and I finished the living room this last week (which was the most difficult, time comsuming project in the whole house) and brought over the tv, entertainment center, couch, and recliners. It looks really nice now. Now we're working on getting his room done so he can actually move in. After that I'll start painting the attic, which is where my room is going to be, and then I'll be able to start moving the rest of my stuff in. And I just got internet in the house this last Saturday, which is really nice to have after a month and a half of needing to go to my parents' house or the library to check my email and pay my bills online.
