Why not call? You don't have to agree to date or anything. You could meet at a coffee shop and just talk and see what happens after you have spent some real time with him. Hold off on giving him your number until it feels safe. If you decide to try dating make the first one a double date. Have him bring a friend and take one of your friends with you. Drive your own car and meet somewhere. If you begin to feel scared you can say you need to use the restroom and then get in your car and leave. -AM-

And thing about Chris is.....an 18 year difference is just weird, but 6 years isnt funky like that. Besides, Chris, I think, is just a little odd (and desparate? is that the right word? I can't help but feel sorry for him cause he seems lonely).
