Polyps

Had my annual colonoscopy today.  The results aren't good.  The doc says the polyps are progressing.  Last time it was "it might" turn into cancer.  Now it's "when" it'll turn into cancer.  Big difference.  The doc is proposing that I have an operation to get the remainder of my colon removed and end up with an colostomy bag.  He recommended it

I know that feeling, I've felt it many times before. Sometimes what you have to do is give yourself permission to wallow in it, just for a few hours. You have every right to be upset and unhappy right now. It will pass, you will find your inner strength, and you will deal with it in that straight forward, in control fashion of yours. I'll be here when you are ready to talk and I give a mean pep talk :)
