I don't normally have dreams, at least not dreams that I ever remember having. Last night (or this morning) I had a dream that really bothers me, a lot of people died, they chose to die, because they thought they didn't have any hope, and they didn't tell anyone but me. I was supposed to die with them, but somehow I couldn't die, I tried but I just ( Read more... )

The dream doesn't sound pleasant, but I don't think it's hard to see your subsconscious is catching up with your reality. These people are a part of your past, people you have chosen or had chosen for you to no longer intertwine their lives with yours. In a sense, that is death - death of communication, death of a relationship (whatever it may be). But our minds keep the memories of what they were like, their lives, and those memories stay so very alive inside of us until we don't need them anymore. Then in their own way, they die. Sometimes we mourn those deaths. Other time we realize we already did and had let go when we didn't even notice.

Perhaps it is your spirit's way of telling you that it's okay to move on now. *hugs*

that dream made me feel sick, I think you may be right about being able to move on, although I'm not really sure that I was holding on to anything. I guess I'm still confused about myself too, lol.

I think we are all confused about ourselves sometimes, what people mean to us, what we ultimately want from them, from life, and from ourselves. So while the dream was most unfortunate, I wouldn't worry about being confused. I'm pretty sure that is normal.

Surrreal dreams like that freak me out for days after. I agree with the above comment. Just to add to it, maybe there's a person or persons from your past that you are supposed to find. maybe there is unfinishd business and their presence in your life is not meant to "die" or fade away or be forgotten. maybe you're the only one who has control and that's why you can't "die." Maybe you just need to come back to New Orleans so I can buy you that drink I owe ya : ))

Yeah, its still got me feeling sick. I wish I could know for sure what I'm supposed to do with what I've gotten from that dream, but I think you are possibly right about unfinished business. I want to be back in New Orleans, I'm just not sure how much longer it'll take me to get there.
