If you're anywhere in the Knoxville area and have a couple hours free this afternoon or this evening PLEASE come help us! We were up until 3am last night and we're still pulling stuff OUT. we haven't even mopped and dried the floors yet. we desperately need help cleaning stuff and moving it back in, which should begin around 2:30pm after we get the ( Read more... )

Dang, I was helping Ron Move yesterday and didn't come home till late (exhausted) and went to bed.

yeah, Phil had mentioned that you and some other folks were doing that and couldn't come by. it's all good. thank's to him we managed to get most everything crucial inside in time before it got drenched, so no real harm done that can't be undone with some laundry and a dehumidifier! it's really strange though, we've NEVER had even an inkling of a leak in the basement before unless it's been a plumbing/leaky appliance issue. apparently the gutters were horribly clogged and we didn't realize it, so all the rain lately went right to the foundation and wasn't draining off like it should have. think we've got it licked now so it hopefully won't happen again. :)
