I'll agree that it doesn't matter all that much. I'm sure that if there was a close race, the naturally born would win out over the other candidate for that very reason, but if "we the people" WANTED to elect someone born overseas... shouldn't "we the people" be able to?

some interesting thought points RGB. I'm looking forward to reading what others have to say on this.

My opinion. Assuming all the other criteria is met, the president will have been a citizen residing in America for at least 10 years, been politically active enought to be on the diplomatic radar, be chosen by a political party, voten on to be a candidate, voted into office... IF THE PEOPLE VOTE FOR IT, THE PEOPLE WANT IT... The office serves the people, the people put into office who they want. Who's to say someone isn't good enough because of where they were born? Oh wait... I'm sorry... did I just offend you...? You racist bastard!
