Sorry to bother you again, but I just wanted you to know I figured out how to cable horizontally for multiple rows. I posted it in my LJ with the credit for the basic technique to you, obviously--you're brilliant, you know that? This is seriously the third time this week I've come across an "impossibly" knitting task and found the solution in your LJ.

The entry is here, if you're interested. My journal is flocked, but that entry is public so people can access it.

Thanks so much again! You really are incredible and I value you sharing your knowledge more than I can ever possibly express.

The interestingness of the movie is not a variable in knitting time? I find it is a variable for me in crochet and spinning.

I hadn't really thought of that. It might be for lace/cables, but for plain socks, it's probably not a big issue, since most of the knitting on plain socks I can do with my eyes shut.

*nod* I haven't really measured, but I think that the number of stitches per minute goes down if the movie's particularly interesting, even if it's boring stitching, because I'll have little moments of forgetting about my hands entirely. With spinning, if I get too involved in a scene, I'll forget to make sure the spindle's still going :)
