However, I don't think an official count has ever been conducted, but I'd be willing to bet that violas experience more comatose three note monotany than cellos.

I mean, seriously the ONLY viola concerto I've EVER heard of in my life is the Telemann. ONE friggin' concerto! And he's not even a well known one! Somebody must have really had it in for us.

hehe, this was really funny. i had to read part of the violin part at a wedding a few months ago, & i was like "ohhhh yah, this!!!"

actually, the Walton viola concerto is a really cool piece... both the solo part & the orchestra!
