[Private]Been quite a week. First off me and Hagrid built that chimney down at the old Hufflepuff farm. Did a good job though I say so myself. I expect Snape won't even notice however. And Hagrid got a new wand. Well to say he was pleased would be an understatement. He was like a ....thingummy with two whatnots. Which given Hagrid's taste in pets ( Read more... )

Charlie I'd love to go out. You were gorgeous brilliant company. I don't quite know what you meant about ghouls, but I do know I loved all your dragon jokes. And where did you learn to dance like that?

I'll be at the meeting. If you like though, I'm the early rising sort. I can make us some breakfast, if you don't mind eggs. I don't like kippers much.

Oh great! Lets set something up soon eh? Tonight? Let me know when you are free.

Yeah the dancing was fun wasn't it? Mum taught me I just picked it up as I went along I suppose. I'm enthusiastic rather than good. But you are a fantastic dancer!

I'm not normally known for my early rising, but knowing there will be eggs and such lovely company, how could I possibly sleep? I'm not keen on kippers either. Why do they make them taste so strong? what are they hiding?

Use your loaf, Weasley. Have you never cast shoulder-to-shoulder with someone before?

Depends what you're casting and under what conditions, basically. Directional spells - blasting curses and such - aren't affected much. Shields can merge if you know how. Someone shielding next to someone trying to curse is liable to get in their way, unless they're working well together.

Problem?

Yeah, course I have but never when actually sitting on their back That's people working together.

No, no problem, I just suspect that something like, say Disillusionment or Obliviate or even a cushioning charm while in physical contact with someone else's magical flow, is causing some interference.

There are magical anomalies that can be exploited when casting.
You can feel the energies, and transferrence can happen. The most famous incidence being, of course, that of Lily and Harry Potter. It is a slightly different example than that of which you asked, being that the person being targetted was in contact with someone else, rather than the person casting the spell, but it uses the same principle, I think?

You can direct magical energy for wandless magic.
There are some potions that require a moulding of energy and yet no wand work.

If you concentrate, can you not feel the magical vortex stretching through the universe, connecting all beings with chaotic energy, both light and dark? Or is this just me?
It is blue and black and invisible.
Can you see it?

Oh yeah! I never thought of it like that. Cheers, that's been a big help.

I can feel the magical vortex sometimes. Can't say as I've ever seen it.
