I guess miso cup ramen is a seasonal thing out here... I mean, in September I could find maybe one kind, but now they're back up on convenience store shelves. I bought an EXTRA large one for today. ^_

Teachers are reluctant to change much, I've noticed. When you come along and say "we're changing stuff, and everything's going to be different soon, so you'd better get with it, or it'll be a pain in the ass for you later," they grumble and ignore it. Then, when they *have* to change, they get all flustered and bitch that it's too quick a change, and the old way worked better.
They're still bitching about just the new program that does attendance and grading here, so it's even worse when it's a major change to classroom curriculum.
I hope they start helping you properly soon. Are you still hanging in alright?
I'm still fine, the kids still get a class from me. It's just a lot of extra stress and work on my part and I don't know the kids very well or what they'd like... I've had NO real training so everything takes three times as long as I go back and forth about what's age appropriate and difficulty level.
And of course, when I hear how the class is properly supposed to be I get a bit frustrated and jealous. My supervisor seems to understand the problems and is behind me 100% so I know I'm covered from that direction.
As for loneliness, well, I miss you guys like crazy! My dogs and parents too, so sometimes it's hard. Especially on weekends when I have time off. But so far I haven't had the violent "I need to get out of this country NOW" feeling. Just general missing the people I love who are so far away.
