At last, the final day of February. It's over and there are only three more weeks until the Spring Equinox. I realize that living in Cleveland means it will probably be three more months until actual warm weather, but at least I know it's on it's way.

I love the Hershey's cake Rec. It's one of the 2 that I use when I'm making choc. cake. If you sub. very black coffee for the water it is even better.
I can't wait for winter to be over. Even though winter has been light this year I am really finished with it. I miss sun light.

Rice turns out better than when I make it on this dang electric stove, but I still find that my rice seems to cook faster than the allotted cooking time, so I have to watch it and manually switch it over to warm, instead of letting it run through the cycle and switch automatically. Which isn't a big deal because I am usually in the kitchen cooking the rest of dinner, but I shouldn't have to manually switch it. I am not sure what my rice issues are--even when I cook stovetop rice it seems to cook faster. I've seen directions that say bring to a boil, turn down the heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes--I would have mushy rice. When I do it on the stove, I simmer for about 7 minutes. Maybe because I buy my rice from the Asian market.

The one I have is a sort of middle of the road one, there are really cheap ones, and then there are ones that cost over 200 dollars--I'd want it to come with a years supply of rice if I were paying that much.
