Why do I hate using fabric with an obvious direction? Because I will cut it out wrong everytime. A yard and half of flannel, destined to be cozy pajamas for my shop, ruined. Well, not completely ruined, I could use it for something else, but I don't know what. For now I'm going to put it away somewhere so I don't have to look at it and think about ( Read more... )

If they were a size 2 or 3 I might actually give it a try, kids that age are starting to understand the concept of upside down and right side up. I have seen kids complaining that the stuff on their clothes is upside down, because that's their perspective. But the pajamas are a size 12-18 months so I thinks it's just going to look as though I am a big dork.

I swear, every single time I stop and think, "which direction do I cut?" I always, always get it wrong. Well, actually that happens if I don't stop and think too. I guess I'm just hopeless! Anyhow, nothing more frustrating than cutting it all out wrong. At least you hadn't already sewn it when you realised the mistake.

That is true! It was just so frustrating because the pieces have been in my project basket for nearly a month, I finally sat down to sew it, starting pinning it together and realized oh crap...
