that is awesome. we were just talking about this b/c astrid saw a commercial for that (terrible-looking) "missed call" movie and freaked.

for me it wasn't even a real horror movie. it was a parody of the friday the 13th film, called "saturday the 14th" and in one of the commercials, a creature "from the black lagoon" begins to rise up out of a woman's bubble bath while she's in there.

i didn't want to ever have another bath again so long as i lived.

I remember that one! I was a bit older (okay, a lot older) so it was more funny for me, I remember something about the dad finding the creature in the bathroom and yelling at the girl for having a boyfriend over.

There was one movie on the website that I had completely forgotten ever seeing--The Spell, I remember now that a baby sitter wanted to watch it. My mom was pretty strict about what we could watch, so I was pretty certain this wouldn't be approved, so there was the anxiety of her finding out coupled with the fear of the movie.

One I remember being traumatic was a trailer for a movie that explored the possibility that Bigfoot was real. I had a foster brother who would bang his head on the crib, his room was next to mine and one night I dreamed the banging was loud footsteps coming through the house and up the stairs--Bigfoot coming to get me!
