It's in the South Island, in Christchurch. It was 6.3 on the Richter Scale and hit at 1pm on Tuesday 22 February ( Read more... )

It's heartbreaking, isn't it? We've had news coverage of it all week now, and for so many people to be dead and missing... god, so horrible.

How are you going? Even on the North Island, it's so sad to watch stuff happen to your own country, isn't it?

It's very sad and hearbreaking and worrying.

One of my friends got the power back at her parents' house today. Her house is in the no power zone though...

Another friend of mine lives at the Army Base where they're set up the temporary morgue and she can see the helicopters going back and forth all day over her house...
