.. apparently, my parents already knew I was gay?

I was sick with myself for having bottled it up for so long, so tonight I bit the bullet. And.. honestly, things didn't go badly at all. I came off a little bit teary, but that's from knowing how incredibly lucky I am to have such an open-minded family. My mom had suspected it for some time now

I agree. :D In general anyway, I've met some dumbfucks here like anywhere else, but most of the time people have been accepting and I haven't had many problems.

After years of hiding out, it's.. awkward adjusting to the way things are now, knowing that everything has gone over well and that we're all accepted for who we are. I really wouldn't have imagined things progressing like this, even a week ago, but I think we've psyched ourselves out to expect the worst. And like you said, we're all pretty damned lucky. :D
