This just in: LJ's not the only social network dealing with the sponsor/content issue.

Firms withdraw ads from Facebook because some of their ads show up on the British National Party page.

Note how this example is political, not sexual. These kinds of things are about controversy. Not squelching sexual content.

Actually, strike my first attempt at a comment -- it's late and I'm not making any sense. I did want to mention MySpace, though, as another example of a social networking site that's being forced to remove users. It's definitely not just happening here.
