Tonight we're cleaning the apartment. Our monthly chore, really.

But to sweeten the deal I like the idea of indulging in a bubble bath in a freshly cleaned bathtub. Or like tonight, I think we're going to go out for some drinks after, or maybe just get some frozen daiquiris and spend the evening relaxing at home.

Be careful with your motivations... they don't have drive-thru bars in DC like us normal people do down here. ;)

Katie: you find a motivation person, send him/her my way when you're done... I still haven't unpacked my room.

Ohh, that's right! My how I take things for granted here.

Like bars staying open all night long in NOLA.

you cn hang up the pot and wine rack as a reward for cleaning and folding the laudry and sorting out clothes for charity.

then you can go sort through the boxes and frames and get rid of that stuff

then you can give the electronics a home and put the feet on...

saturday you can save for painting and curtians

Problem with pot rack and wine rack is that our apartment has a type of construction that's always a surprise. Some walls are plaster, some are solid concrete...none are easy to hang anything in.

You can do it! Or No more wine on the balcony until you do!! lol.. jk... but seriously.. I dont know if DC has a dollar tree, but I have had amazing success at finding "wall stickers" there.... People walk into my house and think certain stickers are hand painted and marvel at how I did it.. until I tell them what they are and they get really close up to them.. Like in sawyer's room, there is a grass, bug, flower wall sticker border all the way around it. Hundreds of stickers, took me a couple hours to hand place each one and about $10 but the result is really pretty... Then around my wall frames, I have a sticker quote about family, etc.. it looks painted... not tacky at all.. and they peel right off if you use tweezers...

Anyway. Good luck with your list. My only motivation for getting my list done is that if I dont clean the car seat, I cant bring the baby home from the hospital... lol.. but good luck!

oh and inspiration to get the cardboard boxes out? IF you leave too many empty cardboard boxes around your house down here, you get a plague of silver fish bugs! ;)
