the inevitable GenCon entry (too many exclamation points coming up)

So. GenCon. Awesome, as always. This year felt a little different -- maybe a little calmer-awesome, which could be because I'm kinda used to the awesomeness of GenCon. I was also working for White Wolf, though, and so on ... well, here are the highlights. I can go by day, it'll be awesome ( Read more... )

Hmmm... Dragon blooded LARP... Would it be wrong to fly over from the UK to play that? :)

Excellent. Exalted is so very wonderful and the Dragon blooded are clearly the best and I just want to play one. I think this shows in the solar game that I am playing where I am playing the son of two dragon blooded who, mnuch to their embarrassment, didn't exalt.

Bloody anathema who always think they're the best...

(I might give pictures if John ever develops them)

My shots of the cage-girls are somewhat less than revealing (no faces! :/), but I do have one of you crawling through the tube. I did a first pass on the photos yesterday and will take another crack at them soon.

No pressure. Didn't mean to sound snippy or anything -- I'm excited to see them, of course, but you do have 400 to develop!

I'm so glad you got to play in the cages! I'd love to see a picture should you find one. If only I'd had a breath mask to withstand the cloved atmosphere...

Thanks so much for advertising for me, as well. I do hope you like the novel, and the possibly-worrying vehemence is one part that the character turned out completely differently than I'd originally planned when I named her, and a second part that I am, of course, nervous about your reception of the novel, as I know our fantasy tastes don't always mesh! I do think you'll give excellent commentary, however, and hope you'll share it with me, whether it be harsh criticism or shining praise. :)

As a note, Tom caught typos, so I'm aware that there are punctuation issues. Since it's a print on demand title, I'm vaguely hoping we can catch them before the next go-round. :)

 Yeah, I started it and noticed that the emdashes haven't come through. That must be so frustrating! I just know that every typo in my White Wolf work is going to drive me into a murderous frenzy when I see it.

It's true that our tastes don't always mesh ... I'll keep in mind that YA fiction = good, at least for this book. (Is that what you meant?)

Hmmm... that's probably actually not a bad way to think of it. The novel isn't written for a YA audience particularly, but my library will be carrying it in the YA section, as that's the group of patrons most likely to be interested in it.

That said, I do want an honest opinion, so I'll stop trying to pad your reading. :)
