Some of my fellow Peace Corps Swaziland Volunteers have made a new Welcome Video, which is what we send incoming volunteers to prepare them for this madness. You're in the food vid near the end.

Some of the vids were very interesting, especially the one on adjustments. There's some weird disconnects in there.

Overall, though, that was the most chipper bunch of PCVs I've ever seen.

I think they just used only the most chipper footage. But also we probably don't want to scare away the newbies.

The General is a relative of mine who lives in Dar who I met relatively recently. He was a great illustration of how things operate-the tide waits for no man, but when we were stuck in traffic trying to get to the ferry to Zanzibar, he got them to wait for us. He was one of the people who were involved in Tanzania's war against Idi Amin.
