We returned yesterday for our first vacation as a family of four, to my parents' house at the lake.  Among other things, this trip made us realize that our car just doesn't have quite enough cargo space.  We had a really great time- the weather was great except for Tuesday, which we spent running errands out and about anyway.  Their new dock is

I love it- my parents have been vacationing there since they were newlyweds, and they finally bought a home there three years ago. =) It's called Smith Mountain Lake, and it's in southwestern Virginia. The nearest town is Roanoke, to the northwest. =)
