An amazing storm is blowing through! I had been watching it but I had to move away from the window and, unfortunately, close it as the rain was flying in. I figured it was a bad thing to be pelted in the face with rain while sitting in my apartment. Yeah, I skipped Wednesday and Thursday. Not much to tell about those two days. I did re-pot some plants and now I have lavender, (which smells amazing), some lemon balm, (which is doing quite well now that they've spent a few days in a window with a slight breeze coming through making those stems nice and strong), and my one orchid looks much ( Read more... ) -

Tuesday
I can smell rain on the wind. How unfortunate that I won't be able to enjoy it as I'll be trapped at work with no windows to see out of. I also can't just randomly walk out of the store to go check it out for a few minutes. I miss that about my old bank job (NOT the one at LaSalle - I was chained to the desk there. Almost literally). I'm having one of those mornings where I feel a bit numb. I'm not feeling much in the way of emotions. It's better than feeling depressed, I suppose. I'm just not sure being apathetic is a good thing though. Perhaps after I shower and really get going things will change ( Read more... ) -
Shake, shake, shake
Apparently I slept right through an earthquake! I've had trouble sleeping for the past few weeks but I somehow manage to sleep right through a little quake. Perhaps it wasn't all that but they're saying it was rattling skyscrapers in Chicago. I live a half a mile from Chicago so I imagine I would have felt something. Worst place for an empath to be? Sitting outside the room where a family is having their dog put to sleep. I'm surprised I didn't kill Pandora from crushing her to me so hard. I overslept
But, then, I didn't fall asleep until 4am. And woke up around 8am. And then dozed on and off until a little after 10am. I gathered all my clothes and ran down to do my laundry but someone had already gotten to the machines. *sigh* So now I'm waiting.
