My Travel 2012 Saga - post #1

Apr 27, 2012 07:56

I have now seen the Eternal City, a quick hop-on hop-off tour which actually lasted about four hours and it was amazing.

But I should backtrack here.

I am on a 40 day trip which includes 11 days in Italy (primarily Rome with the Supernatural Jibcon taking three days), 8 days in Ireland and the balance of the time in England.

So far )

jibcon, supernatural convention, travel

:DDD Sounds like a really wonderful start to your trip!! Although I do hope you manage to get some sleep soon, especially with all the convention madness going on. ;) And the pictures you posted this morning on twitter...GUH. *green with envy*

I'm thinking of you sweetie, and I can't wait to hear more about your adventures over the next several weeks! ♥

What an amazing city! When you can, you definitely need to come here and I know that you did want to. I ran into Holly today too. I totally recognized her from the pics you posted from Nashville. She's staying until Friday too so we're going to try and do dinner in Rome sometime with her friend of course - Cat I think she said.

Will post about the con later after I have actually eaten. Hugs!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Sounds like you're having a great time so far. And I cracked up at the ROCKS comment. *pets you* I do look forward to seeing those particular rocks some day soon myself.

Great to see this report from you. ♥

(Quick question, figuring you'll see this sooner than an email ... where you haven't indicated a hotel on your itinerary, that means you're in the same place for multiple days, yes? Presuming that's correct, you're certainly doing it right by not moving around so much. There's only the one that you're unsure of on the Ireland leg of your trip, correct?)

HAVE A BLAST!

I will be thinking of Rome longingly while I move eldest back home tomorrow. *iz jealous*

Figured I'd reply here. Only have wifi until tomorrow at about 5 am but will probably extend.

Rome is so incredible!!! So very old. It's humbling. You have to see it! Put that on your bucket list!

Today was great but I think I'm too Canadian for these crowds. Lots of pushing, shoving and line crashing at the con with nary an 'excuse me.' Lol! Personal space holds a different meanings. Nevertheless, it was a fun day of panels & autographs (more queues,)

So my itinerary... Yes, staying for multiple days if I haven't indicated a hotel, it's the one above. Also the 4th & 5th are the Hilton Dublin and the 6th onward should be moved down one day with the question mark one being the one prior to the question mark. Don't know if that makes sense. Sleep deprivation.

Already on my list. ;)

OMG I would need much alcohol to prevent me freaking out on people's heads. *stabbity*

Makes perfect sense. :)

Enjoy & try to get some sleep/rest. *hugs*

Yay! It sounds like you're having an awesome time :) I am so happy for you! And so proud of you, too, for eating that cannoli AND for just being the brave woman you are :)

Can't wait to hear more!

Brave might be a stretch. Haha! But food has been sooooo good as has been the wine. Wll let you know how the cuisine in Napoli fares. Such a good trip so far and the con today was terrific. More to follow if I can squeeze all the stuff in during my limited wifi window.
