I Hate being ill

Jst been to the Doc and been given the "once over". He says I have a particular kind of cold virus which is attacking my inner ear, hence the Vertigo symptoms. He says it is fairly mild and so has given me some pills to stop the dizziness and nausea. The bug, according to him , will go of its own accord in a week or so

The anti-nausea medicine is likely to make you sleepy, and it doesn't play nicely with alcohol. The rest of what the doctor told you is exactly the same as I told you :-)

Rather than worring about all the work you "should" be doing, enjoy your unplanned vacation. Here's a handy sentence in Spanish for you to use whenever someone tries to remind you of what you "should" be doing: Estoy enferma - no puedo hacerlo. ;-)
