PS3 80 Gig backwards compatibility

I'm about to buy an 80 gig PS3, and I was wondering which PS/2 games I could play on it. I have a huge library of PS1 and 2 games, and I don't want them to go to waste, since my ps2 is finally crapping out on me. Also, which titles would you recommend? I'm leaning towards getting Uncharted, Eye of Judgment, or Ratchet & Clank future.

No, that's the 40 that's still running on the emotion engine. The 80 uses emulation. And before you ask, joel, I want it for SOME games and primarily the Blu-ray.

i think metal gear 4 an final fantasy xiii are worth getting. but i don't think they are out yet =(

Not yet, they're my primary motivation for buying it :) I'll be damned if I don't play MGS4 launch day.

Sorry, can't help you with the PS/PS2 games. I'm sure there's a list somewhere though, so...maybe I'll try to find it.

As for PS3 games, the only one's that even remotely interest me at this time are Uncharted and Heavenly Sword, though Heavenly Sword is apparently only around six hours long (so I guess that's more of a rental, really). Uncharted looks like a solid game so if I were getting a PS3 right now, that's what I would go for. Of course, the IMPORTANT one is MGS4, but that's awhile away. Now if I could win the lottery...

Oh yeah. MGS4 is on my list. I'm going to borrow Heavenly Sword and Folklore from my friend, and I'm probably going to pick up Uncharted and an HDMI cable with it.

but don't you fret... I think we have plenty of time before MGS4... :(

Oh, Folklore looks good too! Forgot about it. I've seen the trailers, and if nothing else, the story looks to be interesting; it's definitely pretty, too. I haven't talked to anyone who's played it though, so when you do, I'd like to hear your opinion.

True, true. Still, I probably won't be playing it till...ah...2010? >.> *sigh*

Still playing Mass Effect, btw? What play through are you on now?
