Well, to be honest, I see this *all* the time, it seems like it's just basic industry practice when putting out ads. In fact, I see it so often in my line of work I just simply translate it as "On sale now!" So I don't think it's a case of Konami being particularly jerk-ish (although I'm sure they would be anyway), more like them just being liars like everyone else in the entertainment industry, telling lies consumers are used to :P

Second that, "好評発売中" is just the standard terminology they paste onto everything. It's the 絶賛発売中 that's a bit preposterous :P
