So I'm bored and haven't updated for a while.

I've just been watching this, actually, which looks quite amazing: switching off traffic lights and seeing the difference when people have to sit up and take note of what's going on. It made me smile and even hope a little. :) It reminds me of the story I heard in passing of a roundabout where

Ha! They've been switching traffic lights off for years in Italy. Honestly, after a certain time at night they all flash amber. This is because it was discovered that people tended to ignore red lights at night because they're idiots thought no-one was coming anyway, thereby causing lots of accidents, whereas if the lights were flashing amber they'd slow down and have a look.

A true insight into my homeland's psyche if I ever saw one.

Wow. I'd never heard about that before, but that's brilliant. :) Maybe something like that, at least, will start happening over here as well. It's a nice thought, and I can hope. :D
