Made-up Holidays and Domestic Accidents
In three days it will be Windy Love Day - a holiday my brother and sisters created to celebrate being siblings. Usually they celebrate it by giving each other artwork. This year I put it in my calendar so I would remember it in time to actually do something for them, so I'm making a collage. Hopefully I'll get it finished in time to take a picture of it and post it to deviantART, but if not I'll certainly have it done by the time my son's Spring Break starts and we head out to Arizona for a visit. And my husband, while cutting up a spoiled chicken to bury under the corn, managed to slice his left index finger bad enough that it needed three stitches. He even nicked the tendon, though thankfully he didn't sever it. He has to wear a finger splint for a month.
Other than that... We've ordered our Disney tickets so we can attend Bat's Day in the Fun Park, as usual. I planted the first row of potatoes and ordered two Pink Lemonade blueberry bushes. (Jason wants them because the idea of a pink blueberry tickles him.) My daffodils are blooming and I planted cosmos, baby's breath and red poppies next to the irises, and I'm still trying to work out the middle part of Linus and Lucy on the piano.
