The joy of TV...

First off - I'm watching a Saints/49ers game, I DON'T CARE ABOUT TIM TEBOW! I hate Tim Tebow, largely because I'm freaking sick of hearing about him. He's nothing special. He's nothing important. His fans are assholes. But if you want to talk about him in regards to the Broncos, fine. This is not a Broncos game. Leave me alone ( Read more... )

It's airing (aired?) on our local Fox station near DC, so you probably won't hear about it, but yeah, the fact that it exists is kind of mind blowing? Do you really need to resort to picking on the comics industry, Fox? What, ran out of stories about video games to report on? Haha ( ... )

I read your posts, and they're not annoying at all. But if you don't like updating LJ anymore, don't. You can still read other people's stuff and comment and such.

That said, if you're thinking of and writing up things to post anyway, why not follow through and post 'em?

It's that I get the entire thing written up and then think "I don't want to post this." The idea of making it public is what's balking me. And I admit that on occasion, simply writing it up is cathartic enough, so I don't have a need to post everything. But I've never had this severe I-don't-want-to-share-that feeling as I've had lately. Little of it's even personal, so I'm not sure what's going on.

As I said to the commenter above, it may be some sort of mood, and it'll pass eventually, but I don't think I want to force it, because I might end up just hating LJ instead of just being wary of it like I am now. It's hard to know.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm not annoyed by you.... In fact, I like being able to communicate with you via this site, because it's one of the only means we really have. You know? I'm also going to add that I too an heartily sick of hearing about Tebow. With luck, after this year the fad will just go away.

Seriously, he's a mediocre quarterback who's gotten very lucky. That's it. I'm not saying he doesn't have some talent, and he's a decent leader, but he's nothing, nothing compared to Brady, Rogers, Rothlesberger, Manning, Flacco, ANY of the top QB's. Heck, even my boy Fitzpatrick is a better QB than he is, and the Bills weren't even 500 this year! (But they sure trounced the Broncos, thanks for the Christmas present, Buffalo! XD) It's much ado about nothing.

I don't know what this is all about, really. I think I may be burnt out. Maybe I just need to take a break and then I can come back. I feel a little bad about making all you guys comment, though. I wasn't fishing for replies with that - it's why I hid it under a cut - but it does make me feel a bit better. ^_^;

Look at it this way- the fact that we dug under the cut and took the time to respond means we care and we like you. ;) If you need to take a break, do so. We just want you to know you're not alone.

Boo to Fox.. stuff like that makes me angry, but when I think of how like.. the people who really care aren't going to be listening to that anyway, and like you said, kids aren't the ones comics are geared to and aren't the one's reading it.. then the whole idea of anyone making those kind of silly arguments just makes me laugh.

If you don't wanna post something, no worries! Just don't! Listen to your heart! But those of us who watch you will be waiting for you when you come back.

*hugs* You guys are all so awesome. Maybe I'll just take a break for a bit and see how I feel. Maybe I'll snap out of it soonish. It was just starting to get really frustrating, you know?

I can't figure out why Fox News would be going after comics at this point anyway. It's a dying industry. Aren't video games and the internet better targets? Ah well. It's actually kind of sad that they'd try it. Haha.
