Yeah and it's another of those things that largely feels like it's been done before, but tweaked small things to make it a lot more interesting.

They are definitely referencing Wile E Coyote in Rascal, such as having the same blue prints to draw up his overly complex plans which require over the top machinery that will inevitably fail on him. I didn't show much of that in the scans though, and it's so obvious in the comic that I didn't really think beyond it, but I think you're right that he has at least some Daffy Duck in him. The more I think of it, the more sense it makes. And it makes sense if Jumpin' is a combo character that Rascal would be too.
