It is a sad thing when you think about it that it's so hard for other superhero stories to make any kind of impact. It's why I found Invincible so refreshing even when that was a thinly veiled retelling of Superman (and the rest of the Justice League) at least we were getting a new take and new direction without all the baggage ( ... )

Even in manga, it seems like the heroes are all kid superstars while they fight against eeevil adult baddies, haha! I guess it's because we view kids as innocents, so people don't really want to see kids as "bad guys", even bullies generally look a lot older than the kids they pick on. I dunno, but it's interesting to think about, because I never really paid much attention before this ( ... )
