So I thought the case was really cool, the way the imps were getting into Dean's dreams right from the start, all the pieces coming back to them, and them getting the better of Castiel for a while, if only temporarily.
The kiss seems to ask more questions than it answers; I really rather like that this ending feels open, rather than closed, like the story's stretching on past where the writing stops.
I enjoyed this, a lot. It's interesting that while the case is wrapped up, the real story seemed to be the emotional stuff, which doesn't strike me as done. I like that :). I also like Sam's hand down Dean's pants, and the idea that they started as teenagers and then everything went fubar, and are coming back together into that comfortable, but still not simple, relationship.
Haha. I was going to attempt to end this one with a definite conclusion but then I realized that I didn't want to do that. I wanted to keep it open-ended. I thought that not only would the emotions in this would play a lot longer than where I wanted to write, I also kind of wanted this to merge back into canon. So I really needed to keep the end ambiguous.
Yes! Unfortunately for the imps, they were just an excuse for me to write stalker!Cas and all that entails. >_>
Thank you so much! I'm glad that you liked it. I really struggled with trying to get Sam and Dean's relationship down the way I wanted it--the conflict and emotions and the fact that they can't/won't leave each other.
Thank you so much! I'm glad that you liked it. Honestly, I really enjoyed writing Castiel in this fic. This is the first time that I've EVER written Cas so it was a bit of a struggle for me (I ended up rewatching all of season 4 because of this fic) but, in the end, his parts are some of my favorites.
Very awesome! Castiel pining and watching Sam and Dean sleep. Sam and Dean having their own big issues, uh and I loved the bed sharing. Imps, fucking creepy little monsters.
Thank you! I'm terribly fond of the idea of Castiel totally creeping on the boys when they're sleeping. I'm also terribly fond of the idea of Dean creeping into Sam's bed. Haha, the imps were rather fun for me.
Love the imps. S4 was so sad for Sam and Dean. I love how determined Dean is that Sam not find out what he did in Hell. Cass's attraction to Dean got right under my skin, since I'm a wincest fan- which means it was REALLY good. Subtle and there, which is so close to canon....... Great story
Thank you! This is an idea that I've been bandying about for about a year and I really wanted to get it written. I wanted to do a season 4 fic because I love the relationship dynamics in it, how you have Cas just there and he's developing feelings for Dean in his own way and I love, love, love Sam's issues in particular, how he felt that Dean was too weak and that only Sam was strong enough to handle what needed to be done--but Dean's a lot stronger than Sam thinks. It's another reason why I wanted to do season 4 fic just to get into that divide that's between Sam and Dean where they care about each other SO much but there's these walls there.
This is the first time that I've ever written Cas, so I'm glad that he worked out!
