I've been feeling somewhat scattered lately, unfocused and unable to concentrate. I've got half a dozen projects on the go and each time that I try and focus on one I become irritated by it and then start something else. I've even been unable to focus on reading, I look at the words but don't seem able to take in what they're saying, it's like when ( Read more... )

I'll read anything, as long as it's not romance or chick-lit!

These all sound just great, I'm in need of something that will shake my brain out of this torpor it's in, and they all sound as if they could do that! Many thanks, they're all going on my list :D

have you read 'perks of being a wallflower'? i liked it so much that i named a cat after a character in the book! i'm not much of a reader, so this is pretty much the only book i ever recommend to anybody. :-)

I'll give it a try, what did you name your cat? :)

charlie. he's the main character in the book, and he's my favorite character i've ever met, in any book i've ever read! (i think it's just because i identify with him a lot. you might not enjoy the book if you're not me... but i loved it!)

I'll give most things a try, and any book that engages my attention is a good thing for me. I've been lacking in motivation to search for anything new to read, so thanks for the rec :)

Sorry you are feeling scattered. I totally understand. If you need a project I just moved and have lots of boxes to unpack. LOL!!

As for books, I am an avid reader but always feel funny suggesting books. I feel people will judge me because every book I read is not exactly "War and Peace".

Ah the joys of moving.. I remember developing a bizarre obsession with boxes when I moved last year. Hope you get settled in soon :)

I've got pretty eclectic tastes when it comes to reading, and I've still got books from my childhood that I still like to read every now and again.

Yes, I am beginning to believe that boxes are just a nice way to decorate at this point.

I am the same about reading. Have you ever read "Summer Doctor" by Charles Knickerbocker? It is just a nice, simple, easy to read, sweet story. I read it every single year from the time I was 17 until I was 37. If I ever get it unpacked, I should give it another read.

Wow I'm really grateful that these episodes only last 2-3 weeks at a time, and my thoughts settle down eventually. It's frustrating as hell though!

I read the Merlin trilogy years ago, it'll be good to look them up again, thanks :)
