Despite my best intentions, I've been absent from LJ longer than I intended :( Three weeks of nights (with associated zombie brain) then followed by seven days in a row without a break! I seamed to spend most of my time between work and bitching about there not being enough hours in the day ( Read more... )

Very bad timing... (>_<)

Always why I've preferred the 'savage beating' method of telling people that they have devastated someone else's life. Though I've only had to issue one to some punk who did something pretty similar to a friend of mine as your brother did to 'C'.

I hope everything turns out well for her and her daughters.

Well, as the oldest sibling I've reserved the right to slap my brother stupid for what he's done. Though if he gets any more stupid there will be no hope :/

Here's hoping that one day you will be able to slap the stupid out of him.

Wow, how awful for your sister in law (and those poor kids...) I was married years ago to someone who was unfaithful to me, and been cheated on/betrayed like that was one of the most painful things I've ever had to deal with. Wishing her strength and good karma, from afar!

Thank you for that, I know that she needs all the strength that she can get at this time :)

That's bloody horrible. My brother is also no prize, and I know how much it hurts.

At least C has you guys, and I know you'll do all you can for them.

The saddest part is that I'd thought that he'd finally grown up, obviously he's still got a lot more to do!

I know that too! My brother is 34 years old and still carrying on with his copious amounts of bullshit. That's the problem with junkies. He refuses to speak to me and my immediate family. I'm not heartbroken. I must admit that I'm glad he hasn't got a family of his own stuck in the middle. It's all so maddening.

My brother went through a phase of getting into fights and all sorts of trouble, and we were all more than grateful when he 'settled down' and did the whole grown up thing! It's a shame it didn't stick :/

Hi there, managed to get some leave in but there's still plenty to do, not including the ongoing family crisis! I suppose that I shouldn't grumble too much about work, because they're talking about closures at the moment, nicely timed for Christmas!

I hope that your husband manages to get a break in soon as well? Catch up soon :)
