alright... to clarify my position a little more here. I'm not saying that there shouldn't be laws protecting our privacy I'm saying there aren't any so stop bitching about rights that don't exist. Learn the Bill of Rights is more what I'm saying. I was ranting when I wrote that earlier and really wasn't thinking beyond the rant. *shrugs*

"I'm sick and tired of people bitching about rights they don't have." --- Anna

Wasn't this country founded by people bitching about rights they didn't have? Last time I checked, that's why we're our own country and not England part 2.

this country was founded by people who acted on their beliefs and didn't wait for someone else to fix their problems for them. I'm hearing a lot of complaining, but am seeing no one try to fix it. And the media making a big deal does not count as action in my book.

You make a very good point here.

Thomas Jefferson was right, we should have a revolution every twenty years.

I think you and Matt are both right. This country was founded by people who acted on their beliefs, but many of the things we have now are due to people complaining about them not being there in the first place. Also, I think I understand what you're saying. People are claiming "Privacy is a part of our Bill of Rights" and they're using that as the reason why government should stop invading that privacy. However, they are incorrect in their own debate. It is not technically a part of our Bill of Rights... as to whether or not the government should be invading it anyway, that's an entirely different issue.
