He remained sitting, his anger and frustration kept on a tight rein.

"Money does manner when it comes to putting food on people's tables. When it comes to keeping roads maintained and schools open and farmers growing their crops, it does matter! The cost of keeping this war going was extracted from it's citizens who are paying over double in taxes than what their grandparents did! And you want to know what else that cost has come in? Fewer businesses opened, fewer marriages, fewer children being born! Worse over all health, less wealth, less pay! We were almost at the level of the Southern Water Tribes before the war ended!"

Wordlessly (and without acknowledging the guards as they leave), Azula reached a hand towards Lilith.

Lilith turned her head to Iroh and smiled. "My feather was a gift from a young girl named Aoko to help people on the community."

The Madonna took Azula's hand. "Until next time Iroh." And poof! They're gone.

Once they got back to the hotel, Azula immediately went over to Cuddy's bed, collapsing on it. She still hadn't hung up the phone, so she listened for a few moments before turning to Lilith.

"She'll be home in about five minutes; she left work when I told I was coming back."

Lilith sets down Azula's possessions on the floor. "Would either of you like me to stay until she gets here?"

"I want you to." Cuddy wouldn't be thrilled with the idea, but Azula kind of needs it, and she'd respect that.

Lilith wastes no time taking a seat next to her. "Tell me what happened."

"I was there for three days." Locked up. Thinking she'd never get to go home. They'd treated her well-- given her food, and bedding-- but she barely remembered that. All she remembered was them taking away her book and feather.

Still with her eyes closed and the phone to her ear, she reached for Lilith.
