don't be afraid of overusing proper names! seriously, it's so much better than using euphemisms or substitutions. it's incredibly awkward writing 'the older man', 'the ____', etc, or identifying them by hair colour etc. doing that means the reader has to pause even it's mostly clear who the author is talking about and it becomes far more irritating than just the names (because of that pause)- names are simpler and make yr writing flow better

Haha, I know what you mean, it can be rather awkward to put 'the older man.' Brings up all sorts of images...

Omg, yeh, I edited that, but because of the AFF fiasco it took away my edits. I really cringed reading that. Thanks so much for the constructive crit, I'm definitely passing my fic on to a beta reader next time and going to try to improve my smut writing. Interestingly, my English teacher said I was clinical too (ofc I wasn't showing him smut just clinical in other ways)

Yeh, back when I didn't have an account :) I didn't know that anons could comment too but I've read your fics and they're so different from how smut is normally written. You say it's PWP but I can definitely see plot and brilliant characterisation behind it all. :D
