Okay, so, I’ve been seeing this ‘Homestuck’ thing around. And I know a tiny bit about it, something about trolls and kids and astrological symbols. My one friend suggested it to me, and so, I started reading it. I commented to her about it. She suggested I do a liveblog of me reading it.

So really, you can blame this all on her.

Okay, aww, he has a little ghostbusters t-shirt. Wait. “Though it was thirteen years ago he was given life, it is only today he will be given a name!” How has he gotten through 13 years without a name? Did he have a number or something? YOU ARE NUMBER SIX, KID WITH GHOSTBUSTERS T-SHIRT.

“Enter name”? Huh, okay. Clickity.

“TRY AGAIN, SMARTASS.” ‘daww the little slimer changes expressions with him!

And now he has a name. John Egbert. Well now I don’t have to call him kid with the ghostbusters T-Shirt anymore.

Okay, so we learn a little bit about this John kid. He has at least two cakes in his room. I have never had two cakes at any of my birthdays. Was there like, a surplus of cakes and everybody just went “Hey, kid-without-a-name’s birthday is today, let’s give him a cake” all at the same time?

ANYWAY. He likes terrible movies, he wants to be a computer programmer, and he’s an amateur magician. He likes paranormal stuff. He also likes ghostbusters, which makes me willing to read more about him.

Why does this kid have no arms? All right, I’ll get them for you, kid.

Okay, interesting stuff in this chest. “Some of this stuff may come in handy at some point.” FORESHADOWING? Of course not. Can’t be.

Why does this kid have no arms? All right, I’ll get them for you, kid.

Don’t worry, John. I don’t get this whole “stack data” thing either.

“FATHERLY COLOGNE AND AFTERSHAVE.” This author really likes capslock, doesn’t he.

BIRTHDAY ARTIFAAAAAAACCCTTTT.

“Exceptionally meaningful.” For some reason I’m not expecting something huge here.

YUP.

And he has successfully hung up a poster. Bravo, John Egbert. Bravo.

I don’t want this to get too long, so I’ll stop here. When we return, we’ll be looking at John Egbert look at his posters.
