While I was doing my dishes a small glass pudding pot fell into the sink and it sounded like it broke. I hauled it out carefully but it was intact. Phew! All's well that ends we- Slice! The little pot broke a glass storage container/tupperware, and I found the ragged edge with the side of my hand. Haha. I was lucky - it's more of a graze than a cut ( Read more... ) -

Two weeks slip by me again. I've been so ridiculously busy it's not funny. Now I should, in theory, have a bit more spare time to fill - as the exams are starting now/soon my classes are dwindling, so my hours open up and I can finally start sorting out some photos to upload while I'm at school with a decent internet connection ( Read more... ) -

Time keeps slipping by at a phenomenal rate. I realise now that I still haven't posted any photographs (even to facebook) of my trip to Uganda last March/April, and now I'm sitting on another two trips worth of pictures - my winter vacation to SE Asia and this weekend's trip to the snow festival in Hokkaido ( Read more... ) -

I caught whatever bug is going around. My life is miserable. I thought I was just coming down with a cold last night, so I went to bed and failed to get much sleep because I couldn't breathe. I felt more or less okay in the morning, so I went to school. And squandered my resources on unreceptive children.

My mom is coming to visit me! She booked tickets for March 25 - April 8th. :D I was supposed to book them as my gift to her for my birthday (ha ha), but my Internet has been so terrible lately that I can barely load a simple web page, let alone a flight search engine.

I sent this email today and it's still relevant. And stupid.
"I left [my apartment to go to another city for a meeting] perfectly on time, with extra to spare. Yay!
Then Ellen messaged me to say she'd fallen asleep standing at the bus stop and missed her bus. So I laughed and commiserated.

Well, so much for for my cheese, ham, and salad sandwich idea! Definitely wouldn't have tasted great on a sweet breadroll filled with anko. Fortunately, this is only my first proper food mistake since coming here, so it was probably overdue. Haha.
