Got an appointment for Thurs for the tooth. It's $50 just for them to look at it and figure out what's up, then discuss prices and options with me. I'm hoping for "we can just use acrylic to seal that up in five minutes without Novocaine and send you on your way" but I don't want to be too optimistic...

What kind of dentist do you have that charges $150 to just look at a tooth? A full checkup of my whole mouth, plus the hygenist cleaning, is like $120... I've had freezing-less fillings done, sans insurance, and had them only be like $150 each.
